Tropical

We live in a society obsessed with the accumulation of material goods, obsessed with convenience and overeating. From our desire to live a comfortable life, we have lost touch with nature and we have lost ourselves in the process.

I live in Panama, Republic of Panama, where I have access to a deep Tropical Rain Forest. The tropical forest is so rich and bountiful that it is a host to many flowering plants and cures for many deceases. Flowers are the reproductive part of flowering plants and are sources of food for both animals and insects. By closely examining these tropical flowers, I think of how beautiful, perfect, simple and fragile nature is. I want to make us aware of the perfect balance in nature and of the life hosting capabilities of flowers. I want us to realize our impact on the environment, and of the life ending pattern we have created with mass consumption.
